WHEN YOU CAN COME FOR A VISIT
Initially, our hours of operation will be limited.  We aspire to be open 5 days a week in the future.   At first, we plan to be available to see patients on a walk-in, first-come, first-serve basis rather than set appointments.  For surgery days, you should call ahead so we can reserve your spot.  You may call our office at 904-674-7223, for additional updated information on our hours.
WHEN SHOULD YOU HAVE YOUR PET SPAYED OR NEUTERED?
As soon as possible.  Pets may safely be spayed or neutered as early as 2 months of age.  Routinely, however, we recommend 4 months, and will schedule a surgery date at the time of completion of the puppy/kitten booster series.  Nothing magic (beneficial) suddenly happens at 6 months, so you need not wait.  One benefit of spaying female dogs before their first heat is that the later incidence of mammary (breast) cancer is decreased.
